Mobility

From the Papieri train to individual, free movement on two, four or more wheels with excellent connections to public transport including a direct express bus to Zug train station.

Mobility means freedom

Perfectly accessible

Two bus lines connect the area with the public transport network and the S-Bahn connection in Cham.  After the Cham-Hünenberg bypass goes into operation in 2027, an additional express bus line to Zug train station will ensure a direct connection to long-distance traffic towards Zurich and Lucerne. Attractive sharing offers for electric cars and bicycles are available for individual mobility and a unique footpath via the old railway tracks leads to Cham train station in around 10 minutes.

Mobility on the Papieri site means having the right means of transport available at all times. Because mobility means freedom. The freedom to move through life in a way that feels good – for everyone involved.

Public transport

An S-Bahn runs every 30 minutes from Cham train station to Zug and Lucerne. Two bus lines connect the area to the public transport network every 15 minutes. After the Cham-Hünenberg bypass goes into operation, a new express bus line will connect Papieri Cham with Zug train station from December 2027. This ensures a direct connection to long-distance traffic towards Zurich and Lucerne every half hour in around 15 minutes. A new bus stop will be set up on the Papieri area.

And it gets even better: From 2035, Cham train station will be directly connected to the national long-distance transport network and will have a direct connection to Zurich.

Transport-sharing options

Mobility can also be shared in the new Papieri district.  In cooperation with AMAG, a fleet of e-bikes, cargo bikes and electric cars is available for use at attractive rates. Install the new mobility app «allride» and get access to the growing range of mobility services from the papers.

This offer is available to all employees on the site, business customers, all residents as well as all people in the neighborhood of the papieri site.

Electric mobility

Electric mobility is already shaping our future, and the Papieri site is more than ready for all it brings. All of its parking spaces above and below ground are intelligently managed, prepped for electric mobility and equipped with charging stations as required.

For when residents are in a hurry, there are also several fast-charging stations available on the site.

Bicycles

You can reach almost everything in the Zug region by bike. As a result, there are a large number of bicycle stands on the Papieri site, many of them covered.

For cleaning and repairing bikes, there's also a central bike repair, a cleaning station as well as a pumping station on Papieri Platz itself.
