Properties

A total of 100 affordable rental apartments are being built on the Papieri site, ensuring a balanced social mix within the neighborhood. The first 30 affordable rental apartments will be built in Building A during the first phase of construction. The next 22 affordable flats will follow in the third construction phase in House E, with occupancy starting in September 2026. These will be available to people on low incomes who want to live in the Papieri development.

Marketing for the next 22 affordable rental apartments in Building E will begin soon. Sign up to the list of interested parties and stay informed.

See here for the conditions of application for an affordable rental apartment.

You can download a brief description of the affordable apartments here.

Application procedure

  • Go to Properties and apply for the apartment you would like by submitting your tax return and an up-to-date excerpt from the Debt Enforcement Office.
  • If more than 22 applications are received for House E, priority will be given first to applicants residing in Cham, then to those residing in the canton of Zug.
  • The signed tenancy agreement can also be used to obtain an additional discount from the cantonal authorities (apply with form WFG 8.5, giving all of the necessary information). Future tenants will be provided with this form at the same time as the rental contract.
