The small factories next to the mill
Over the years, the mill outgrew its site on the east side of the Lorze and started expanding on the western bank, where it built a number of smaller service buildings. This included the workshop, the smithy and water treatment plant.
The paper mill grew and grew and started to expand on the western side of the Lorze, a short distance from the factory and office buildings. To stay in contact, a service bridge was built over the river.
The first service to be built on the western bank was the iron storeroom in 1903, followed by the joinery, the workshop and the smithy, and in 1970, the factory's own wastewater treatment plant to the north.

The service operations of the former paper mill were located on the opposite bank of the Lorze.
